Investment Management in Neptune City
We build a portfolio around what your money needs to do, then keep watch over it. You get clear reports, plain answers about what you own and a person who picks up the phone when markets get loud. No jargon, no pressure.

What investment management means here
Investment management is the hands-on part of the work. We choose the funds and holdings, set how much goes to stocks, bonds and cash, and adjust the mix as markets move and your life changes.
Our advisor is Series 7 licensed, so we can buy and sell securities for you directly. That matters because the person who knows your goals is the same person placing the trades.
Some clients come to us with one old 401(k) and a savings account. Others have accounts spread across three firms and no clear picture of the whole. Either way, we start with what you have and what you want it to do.

What the work includes
- 01
A look at every account you hold
We gather your brokerage, IRA, old workplace plans and cash. We list what each one holds, what it costs in fees and where the holdings overlap.
- 02
An allocation that fits your timeline
Money you need in two years should not sit in the same mix as money for retirement twenty years out. We split it by purpose and set the risk for each part.
- 03
Rebalancing
When one part of the portfolio grows faster than the rest, the mix drifts. We bring it back in line on a set schedule, or sooner after a big market swing.
- 04
Attention to taxes on trades
We think about which account a holding belongs in and when a sale makes sense. For deeper work on this, our tax management service picks it up.
- 05
Reports you can actually read
You see what you own, how it has done and what we changed. If a line on the statement makes no sense, ask and we will walk you through it.
- 06
Regular check-ins
We meet at our office, or by phone and video, to review the portfolio against your goals. A new job, a sale of a business or a new grandchild can all change the plan.

You are not sure what you own
If you cannot say what is inside your target-date fund or your old 401(k), that is a good place to start.
Accounts are scattered
Old plans from past jobs tend to pile up. They often hold the same things twice and charge fees you never see.
Market drops keep you up at night
That usually means the mix carries more risk than you are comfortable with. We can fix the mix so you can stay invested.
A big change is coming
An inheritance, a business sale, a pension rollover or retirement within a few years all call for a fresh look at how the money is invested.
Cash has been sitting idle for years
Money parked with no plan loses ground to inflation. We help decide how much to keep on hand and what to do with the rest.
How we work with you
- 1
Introductory meeting
Call us to set it up. We talk about your goals, your timeline and how you feel about risk. You ask whatever you want about how we work.
- 2
Review what you have
Bring recent statements. We map out every account, its fees and its holdings, and show you what we found in plain terms.
- 3
A written recommendation
We lay out the mix we suggest and why, what changes and what each move costs. Nothing is bought or sold until you agree.
- 4
Put it in place
We open or transfer accounts and handle the paperwork. Moves are timed with taxes and fees in mind.
- 5
Stay on it
We watch the portfolio, rebalance as needed and meet with you to check it still matches your life.
What affects the cost
Fees get laid out line by line at the first sit-down, well before any paperwork is signed. That covers what we charge to manage the money and what each fund charges on its own. A few things set the number.
- Size of the portfolio
- Investment management fees are often tied to the amount we manage, so a larger portfolio changes the math.
- How many accounts
- Five accounts across several firms take more work to combine and watch than a single IRA.
- Fund costs
- Every fund has its own expense ratio. We point these out and favor lower-cost options where they do the job.
- How involved the work is
- Concentrated stock, business ownership or complex tax situations take more time than a simple retirement account.
Questions about investment management
Is there a minimum account size to get started?
There is no set amount you need just to sit down and talk with us. Many clients begin with a single rollover and a bit of savings. At that first meeting we will tell you honestly whether ongoing investment management fits where you are right now.
Can you promise a certain return?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Markets go up and down. What we can do is set a mix that fits your goals and your comfort with risk, keep costs in check and explain every change.
Will I still be able to see and reach my money?
Yes. Your accounts are held in your name at a custodian, and you get your own statements and online access. We manage the investments, but the money stays yours.
How is this different from your other services?
Investment management is about the portfolio itself. Financial planning and retirement planning look at the bigger picture, like income, spending and when you can stop working. Many clients use both, and the plan guides how we invest.
Do you only talk about stocks and funds?
We look at the whole picture of your money. Our advisor is a credentialed holistic financial coach through Columbia University, so we talk about spending habits, debt and family goals too, not just the portfolio.
Do I have to come to the office?
Meet at our office if you like. Many clients from Asbury Park, Belmar, Wall and nearby towns prefer phone or video, and that works just as well.
Talk through your portfolio with us
Bring your statements and your questions. We will look at what you own and tell you straight what we see.
