Wealth Management in Neptune City

You have accounts in different places, a few goals, and no one looking at the whole picture. We pull it together into one plan, manage it with you over the years, and tell you plainly what we see. You get one advisor who knows your family's money.

What wealth management means here

Wealth management is ongoing work, not a one-time report. We look after your portfolio, your retirement path, your tax picture, your insurance and what you want to leave behind, all at once. Each decision gets checked against the others.

It suits people whose money has gotten complicated. Maybe you own a business, inherited an account, or are a few years from retirement with savings in three places. Most clients from around Neptune City, Belmar and Wall come to us because they want one person who answers the phone and knows their file.

We work the way you would want a neighbor to handle your money. Straight answers, no pressure, and no product pushed just because it pays someone.

What the work includes

A full picture of what you own

We put every account, policy, property and debt on one list. Old 401(k)s, a spouse's IRA, a business account. Many clients see their whole net worth on one page for the first time.

Investment management

We build a portfolio around your goals and the amount of risk you can sleep with. When it drifts, we rebalance. We handle the securities side ourselves, so there is no hand-off to another firm.

Retirement and income planning

We work out when you can stop working and where your income comes from once paychecks end. That covers which accounts to draw from first and when to claim Social Security.

Tax-aware decisions

We look at where each investment is held and how each withdrawal gets taxed. Small choices, like which account holds which fund, add up over decades. We work with your tax preparer, not in place of one.

Insurance and protection review

We check whether your family would be covered if something happened to you. If you need more coverage, we can set up a life insurance policy ourselves. If what you carry is already enough, we say so and move on.

Legacy and family planning

We help you decide who gets what and keep beneficiary forms matching your wishes. We work with your estate attorney so the documents and the accounts say the same thing.

Signs it is time for wealth management

  • Your accounts are scattered

You have money at several firms and no one sees all of it. Overlap and gaps hide in that mess.

  • A big change just happened

A sale of a business, an inheritance, a divorce or a large bonus. Big money arriving at once is when costly mistakes get made.

  • Retirement is getting close

Within ten years or so of stopping work, the order you do things in starts to matter a lot. Guessing gets expensive.

  • Taxes keep surprising you

If April brings a bigger bill than you expected, your investments and withdrawals may not be set up with taxes in mind.

  • You worry about your family

You are not sure what happens to your money, or who handles it, if you are gone. That is a planning gap, and it can be closed.

How we work with you

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

We sit down at our office, or by phone or video, and talk about where you are and what you want. You ask anything you like. We explain how we work and how we are paid.

  2. 2

    Gathering the details

You bring statements, policies and recent tax returns. We go through them line by line and note what we find, good and bad.

  3. 3

    Your plan, in plain words

We walk you through a written plan with clear recommendations. If something you already own is working, we say so and leave it alone. You decide what moves forward.

  4. 4

    Putting it in place

We handle the paperwork to move accounts, adjust investments and update beneficiaries. You sign off on each step.

  5. 5

    Regular check-ins

We meet on a schedule that suits you and whenever life changes. Markets move, laws change, kids grow up. The plan gets updated to match.

What affects the cost

What you pay comes down to how much we manage and how much ongoing attention your situation takes. At the introductory meeting we lay out exactly how our fees work. Nothing is signed until you understand the cost and what it covers.

Size of the portfolio
The amount of money we oversee day to day usually moves the cost more than anything else.
How complicated things are
A business, rental property, stock options or accounts at many firms take more planning time than one retirement account.
How often we meet
Some clients want one review a year. Others want a meeting every quarter and calls in between. More contact takes more of our time.
Extra coordination
Close work with your accountant or estate attorney, or planning across several generations of a family, adds hours. We talk about that before work starts, not after.

Wealth management questions

Something not covered here? (732) 655-2079

How is wealth management different from financial planning?

Financial planning draws the map. Wealth management means we stay with you after that, running the investments and changing course when your life does. A lot of people try financial planning first, then decide they want us handling things over the long term.

Do I need a certain amount of money to start?

Tell us about your situation at the introductory meeting and we will give you a straight answer on whether ongoing wealth management fits. If financial advising would serve you better for now, we will tell you that instead.

Will you make me move all my accounts?

No. We start by looking at what you already have. Some accounts, like a 401(k) at your current job, usually stay put, and we build them into the plan. If we think something should move, we explain why first.

What background does your advisor have?

Our advisor is Series 7 licensed, holds a license to sell life insurance, and is a credentialed holistic financial coach through Columbia University. That coaching training matters. Money choices are tied up with family, work and habits, so we plan with all of it on the table.

Can we meet without coming to the office?

Yes. You can meet us at our office, or by phone and video. Many clients handle most check-ins over video and stop by only when there is paperwork to sign.

Let's look at the whole picture together

Give us a call and we will set up an introductory meeting. Bring your questions and a rough idea of what you own, and we will take it from there.
